And the snowman is still standing.

The snow has mostly melted and the sun is mostly shining and life is mostly back to normal. But I had to post just a few more photos from The Great Snow of 2010, since it seems to happen once a year or less around here.

There were the layers and layers of clothing to make up for the fact that we don't own proper attire...you know, because of that whole once a year thing.
All bundled up and running on ice!
Lots of sledding...down the hill on the green behind our house, and also on a hole a few blocks away. Keelyn went down a few times only slightly against her will. Hailey was unstoppable. Over and over and over she went.
Snow eating was also unstoppable. For both of them.
Hailey stayed busy even when the sleds were away. She built a "snow pie tower," made angels in every corner of the yard (and even made faces and clothes for them), and kept Keelyn, who mostly preferred watching, greatly entertained.

Here they are with their masterpiece, which they really both worked very hard on...delicately patting the big guy Daddy rolled out for them, and adorning him with the necessary accessories.
And when they finally tired of all the play, they still insisted on being outside in the snow...so they took a rest for snack time on the sled before calling the last day and watching it begin to melt away.

Cute, cute, cute~ If we lived closer, the 4 of our kids would have been doing the exact same stuff. How great that we get to experience this fun once a year!
